HIDROGENESSE; El recital para Alan Turing.

Tengo que admitir que sentarme a escribir estas cuatro lineas sobre lo nuevo de Hidrogenesse -tras reseñar sus anteriores trabajos para La Fonoteca- me resulta casi igual de fascinante que comprobar el esplendoroso resultado de la criatura inspirada en el matemático Alan Turing.

Glen Johnson, de Piano Magic, dijo un día refiriéndose a Kraftwerk que estos eran un "lugar donde las máquinas se empañan de emoción". Pues amigos, no hay duda que Hidrogenesse y su dígito binario dudoso ("Un dígito binario dudoso. Recital para Alan Turing" - Austrohúngaro, 2012), se han decidido definitivamente a echar raices en ese paraíso emocional de lo análogico ocupando un lugar privilegiado.

Con el esperado recital, Carlos y Genís dan una nueva lección de madurez en su sonido, invitándonos a juguetear y a balancearnos en un universo pasado de sutilezas sintéticas y romanticismo que se estira hasta el infinito. Cada vez más grandes.

"I remember when she recorded ‘Hypnotized'. We were in the studio and she said ‘let's run it down'. She was really learning the song but I told the engineer to hit the record button. I got goose bumps on my arm when she sang that song. It was one take, that was it.  She wanted to straighten it out because she had sung the word ‘hyp-mot-ized' rather than ‘hypnotized' but I wanted to keep it just the way it was and boy, did she curse me out."

Los hay que le piden a "Brighter", cuarto disco de los daneses WhoMadeWho y fruto de la relación con el sello alemán Kompakt, más oscuridad, más introspección. Pero lo cierto es que el álbum incluye suficientes indicadores como para entender que lo pretendido era otra cosa: dar un barniz de elegancia y sofisticación a la pista de baile. Esta claro: lo han conseguido.
